First off let me say how sorry I am about not posting in FOREVER. About two months to be exact. It has kind of been a crazy summer. You have no idea how nice it feels to be writing on here again! So with that said. Today’s post will include some reviews on food from our recent vacation to New Orleans. And of course my recent summer fashion.
So let us begin! On Monday my husband and I flew from Dallas to New Orleans. Neither of us had been before. And you might be wondering why New Orleans of all places? Well to answer your question. We wanted to try a lot of the food over there (not to mention it was an inexpensive flight). And it was totally worth it because the food did not disappoint. Especially the beignets from the famous Cafe Du Monde. So delicious! My husband wanted to try a shrimp po’ boy. Which is a signature sandwich there. He liked it but not as much as the original mufaletta from Central Grocery & Deli. That sandwich was one of the best things we have ever tasted. Exceeded our expectations for sure! I also had some amazing red beans and rice from a place called Daisy Dukes. Which is also the same place where my husband had the shrimp po’ boy. Great little local place with a fun atmosphere, good service as well. And for our final meal there we just ordered some pizza from a local place. I know pizza for the last meal right? In all honesty we were tired from all the walking that day (New Orleans humidity is no joke!). Also we had an early flight the next morning. So it was the best option.
Overall our trip to The Big Easy was a success. We were only there for a couple of days, which was the perfect amount of time. Plus I did not have to pack too much. It was so hot there that my wardrobe consisted of tanks and shorts.
Prior to New Orleans we spent a couple days in Dallas. We attended a WWE event called Great Balls Of Fire. As always it was a blast! I customized the t-shirt I wore for the event. I was surprisingly happy with how well it turned out.
