2021 In A Nutshell

Hello all,

Since I have been MIA pretty much all year (sorry). I decided to go ahead and make a giant post to cover everything from 2021. So forewarning, this is going to be a long one!

To start off, I got a job in January that I thought would be a good fit. Unfortunately, it ended up being the wrong place for me. The only perk was the friends I made along the way. I lasted there for a couple of months. While, it was frustrating to go back to the drawing board I knew my happiness was a priority. Luckily, I found a new job pretty quick. So far it has been one of the best decisions this year!

Next, aside from all the job stuff. I wanted to get in some traveling this year because you know COVID happened last year. We ended up taking a few small trips. Even though we did not take an ideal one (beach vacation), it was still nice to get away.

One of the biggest highlights for me this year was celebrating one whole year with Weight Watchers back in May! I will admit sometimes it is a struggle to stay on track, but trying not to be too hard on myself. Let’s just say I am constantly a work in progress.

Something else that happened in May, was Crimson Diamonds turned 5! It is hard to believe this all started that long ago. I am truly thankful for everyone that takes the time to read my blogs. It means more than you will ever know!

Another big milestone this year, was our sweet dog Penny turned 10 just last month! In the summer she was diagnosed with early stages of kidney disease. Thankfully, she has been doing okay since the diagnosis. We just love on her every day and show her how much she means to us. I wish dogs lived as long as humans did. They truly are little angels on earth.

The grand finale of this year, would have to be dealing with my mom’s two year death-versary (not sure how else to phrase it). For some reason I feel like the second year was harder without her. Maybe the realization that she is physically gone for good and is not coming back. Just a difficult concept to deal with. I miss her every day.

I hope everyone has had a better year than last year, if not hopefully some good moments. Below is my highlight reel from 2021. Happy Holidays, and cheers to the new year!
